Saskatoon Senior Men’s League, Basketball Saskatoon. (SRML) Vaccination Policy

Starting October 24th, and coinciding with the first games of the 2021/2022 season, wethe SRML will require all adults (18+) to produce proof of double vaccination to gain entry and participate in SRML games at Saskatoon Public School Gyms.

As we are a non-profit organization, we will need the help of all individuals participating in the Senior Men's League to get the league started and operating safely.

All players, coaches, officials, minor officials and spectators must be fully vaccinated in order to attend or participate in the 2021-2022 basketball season.
SRML will be implementing Proof of Vaccination controls as required by the Province of Saskatchewan.

The first step:

The Team Rep must verify that every member on their roster has been fully vaccinated before that player can be placed on the team's roster. It will be the sole responsibility of the Team Rep to complete the verification and add player's names to the team roster on the SRML website. Player's names can be added during the season as per the SRML constitution.

SRML will be doing random checks at games to verify players are fully vaccinated. All players must be able to produce proof of vaccination at that time.

Any player found to be misrepresenting their fully vaccinated information will be suspended indefinitely.

The Team Rep and team will be suspended for the year if a player on the team roster is found to be mispresenting their fully vaccinated information and .
Team fees will not be refunded.

"Proof of being fully-vaccinated" means one of the following.

1. a wallet card received at the time of immunization.
2. a printed copy of a MySaskHealthRecord vaccine certificate, with or without a QR code.
3. a screenshot of a MySaskHealthRecord vaccine certificate, with or without a QR code; or
4. a COVID-19 vaccine printout from Saskatchewan Health Authority, Public Health;
5. a QR code/MySaskHealthRecord vaccine certificate uploaded to SK Vax Wallet

Fully vaccinated means:
"fully-vaccinated", with respect to an individual who resides in Saskatchewan or who resides in another jurisdiction, means that:

1. the individual has received the recommended number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, or combination of COVID-19 vaccines, approved by Health Canada; and
2. 14 or more days have passed since the individual received the last of the recommended number of doses;

This policy may be amended throughout the course of the season dependent upon provincial and municipal regulations.
